FIS Celebrates Topping-Out Ceremony

11/09/2016
After a 19-week construction phase, FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH (FIS) celebrated the topping-out ceremony for its new company building.

The FIS management board invited all those so far involved in the building project to attend this event on November 07, 2016: the Schonungen architect’s office Philipp (responsible for planning and construction site management), Otto Heil GmbH & Co. KG (responsible for earth-moving and structural works), representatives of Stark (responsible for carpentry work) and FIS members of the management board and the internal building project team.

FIS erects a new three-storey company building at its Grafenrheinfeld headquarters and creates space for the future: on a total surface of approximately 1,600 square meters, new offices with a capacity for 100 employees are built in the “Am Erlein” construction area including three kitchens with integrated seating areas, showering facilities and changing rooms. The thought-out construction concept is completed by 24 parking spaces, parking spaces for the disabled and covered parking spaces for bikes directly next to the building. “We as the management board say “yes” to the Grafenrheinfeld location and reinforce our commitment for the region by the targeted investment in the construction of a new company building,” explains Ralf Bernhardt, managing director at FIS. The facade design is inspired by the latest office complex built in 2012. The building project is a must both in spatial and FIS company philosophy terms according to Christian Lang, member of the management board: “We emphasize short communication paths and the personal contact of the employees within the FIS group. This is why the extension of our company campus is a logical step in order to continue quick and uncomplicated coordination.” The construction phases from shell completion to interior fittings are scheduled in such a way that the occupation date envisaged for the end of 2017 can be kept.
